The Passing of Gregg Allman by Thomas Morrell ©2017
Rock music, legend Gregg Allman passed away on May 27th at age 69, from complications of liver cancer/damage, due to years of alcohol and drug abuse.
Gregg Allman was born on December 8th, 1947, which makes him a 10 of Clubs. Many who are this card receive recognition, or are looked up to as their card falls in one of the three positions in the Crown Line in the Life Plate. Usually intelligent, creative with a very busy mind. The 7 of Diamonds as their Natal Moon Card manifests in their lives as emotional problems, usually reflected in their relationships.
We will keep this one pretty simple as their was a larger progression that set up the event, with its proportional smaller progression acting as the trigger.
In his 7 Year Chart (Season of the 28 Year Saturn Chart) Allman had progressed to Plate 9 and was in his last Neptune Year. Neptune rules drugs, alcohol, etc. and the reason for his liver cancer/damage. He had the 9 of Spades in this position and represents loss and disappointment regarding one’s health. It is also one of the three Death Cards in the System.
His last year, age 68, he had the 3 of Spades in Uranus in the 7 Year Chart, which would magnify (3/Jupiter) health or work (Spades) issues. Being a Number 1 Year (2017 = a 1 Year) the Uranus Card would be re-triggered, thus the health issues still being a problem. Also his Neptune Return Card in the 7 Year Chart, (the Card that is Displacing his Natal Neptune Position) is the 7 of Spades, representing health challenges. Return Cards represent the environment we are in, or what surrounds us.
Allman had progressed to Plate 12 in his 7 Day Weekly Chart (Season of the 28 Day Lunar Chart) and it was his Venus Day when he died. However, it was the 27th, which reduces to the Number 9, the Number of Mars. This would also trigger the Mars Card within the Weekly Chart and in that position was the 6 of Spades Direct and the Ace of Spades Vertical, the other two Death Cards in the System. His Synastry Card (the Card right behind) is the 3 of Spades, representing the theme of the Chart, again a magnification of health issues.
As we can see, the larger Chart set up the event, while the smaller one acted as the trigger for it. 3 weeks earlier, he would’ve been on Plate 9 in the Weekly Charts, as well and would’ve had a Mystic Conjunction with the 9 of Spades in Neptune in the 7 Year Chart. While he could’ve passed on at that point, he probably took a turn for the worse then and may have gone into the hospital, or other care at that time, if he already wasn’t.
In his Yearly Chart he was in his Jupiter Period, Jupiter ruling the liver and had the Jack of Spades there, many times representing a Doctor.
Another point of interest is that he was a Number 8, the Number of Saturn, making his Planetary Number Card the Queen of Clubs (Natal Saturn Card), the Birth Card of Cher (May 20th), to whom he was married to from 1975 to 1979.
In this event, there were many triggers and other unique influences present, showing the precision and detail of this powerful, ancient System.
